About the Crewsers

BearLake 8+

Founded in 1997, the Kenai Crewsers Rowing Club is the oldest rowing club in Alaska. We are located on the eastern side of the Kenai Peninsula in south-central Alaska. Rowing season runs from April through October with the primary row sites being Bear Lake in Seward, and Kenai Lake in Cooper Landing. An annual regatta is held on Bear Lake.

Our History

How We Started...

KCRC began as a single ad posted on the Moose Pass Post Office community board in Dec 1996. The first meeting consisted of 4 interested women, and, although none had rowing experience, they decided to give it a try and the club was born.
