Learn to Row 2017

Learn to Row

The Kenai Crewsers Rowing Club holds Learn to Row classes for individuals, age 14 and up, who are interested in learning the sport of rowing or want to improve existing skills.
The Learn to Row introductory class covers the basics of sweep and sculling. Instruction will include terminology, dry land training, boat handling skills, safety information, erging techniques, and rowing fundamentals.

Coach Jen Arnold

Jen rowed at the Bolles School, until founding her high school rowing team at the Jacksonville Rowing Club. She served as team captain for two years, and received the Tracy Johnson Award. After graduating Bishop Kenny High School, Jen was recruited by the University of Charleston’s Rowing Program, in West Virginia. She received both Athletic and Academic scholarships, while rowing in the Varsity 4+ and Varsity 8+.
