About us
Founded in 1997, the Kenai Crewsers Rowing Club is the oldest rowing club in Alaska. We are located in Seward on the eastern side of the Kenai Peninsula in South-Central Alaska. Rowing season runs from May through September, primary row site is Bear Lake in Seward. An annual regatta is held on Bear Lake.
Kenai Crewsers Rowing Club rows on Bear Lake in Seward, Alaska from May through September. We offer a Learn to Row class in late May / early June for anyone interested who is new to the sport. This year, it’s on May 31st.
In April, we will have a meeting for those interested in learning more about our club. This year, it’s at Tidewater Taphouse on Thursday, April 24th at 5:30 pm.

Monday & Wednesday | 5:30 - 7:30 PM | Experienced Practice
Tuesday & Thursday | 5:30 - 7:00 PM | Experienced Practice
Tuesday & Thursday | 7:00 - 8:30 PM | Novice Practice
Friday AM | Time TBD | Mixed (Experienced & Novice) Practice
Our club also participates in at least 2 Regattas (rowing races) every year. This year, our home regatta, Tail of the Bear, is on August 16th on Bear Lake. The Moose Nugget Regatta is July TBA, on Wasilla Lake against the Anchorage Rowing Association. Under the guidance of Coach Susan Wood, our practices blend technique, recreation, athleticism and team camaraderie.

If you would like to join the Kenai Crewsers then there is no better time to start than now! The club is always looking for more members, age 12 and up, to join the ranks of rowers.
EXPERIENCED ROWERS: If further training is what you seek, then KCRC is for you. Every year, rowers get hands on coaching from some of the most experienced rowers. Don't let another year pass! Come and get involved now!
